Interview with Ruth O’Reilly for UCB 2 – on chronic illness

Ruth O’Reilly on radio UCB 2

For those who are not on social media, you may have missed my announcement that last week I was having a leisurely chat with United Christian Broadcaster (UCB)’s LIVE with Ruth O’Reilly.

Many of you tuned in and I’m now thrilled to announce that for the next week or so it’s up and available for download from UCB’s Soundcloud page.

If you’ve got 35 minutes or so, grab a cuppa, sit somewhere comfortable and hear me chat about how most of what helps chronic illness is counterintuitive to most Christians…

    Tanya,
For someone who has an invisible chronic condition, epilepsy, which limits my stamina and what I can and cannot do this is a breath of fresh air something that I have longed for many years. Bravo.

    Tanya—
This interview is incredible, really special. It certainly showcases your voice and viewpoint as a minister. And I REALLY needed it. I’ve read your book three times now (I think), and I will probably listen to this again more than once. You capture an essence of God in Christ—human—that is rarely touched upon but that touches each of us daily, and some of us perhaps more than orhers. Again, I have been drawing inspiration from you for a long time, but your telling of your own need for and finding of Him in your loss and limitations gave me courage to go to a place that I couldn’t reach before.
    Thank you!
    Cathy
PS Spent 4 months designing, gutting and renovating 2 bathrooms recently. Wonderful creative outlet, but took far more time, energy and money than I imagined. My guiding principle was to go with my gut more often rather than others’ ideas since I’m the one who gets to live with the outcome. I’m just getting to enjoy the fruits of my labor now. Pace yourself if you can!
