As a Christian , who, when I was quite terribly ill and gone from the world and all its
materialistic ideas, God spoke to me and from that day on I knew that I was the most
important person on Earth. I was given the extreme confidence to know this and hence the wisdom to realise that we are all equal in the sight of God but not in Man’s eyes.
The Conservative philosophy is one of evil in its entirety which relies for its 25% support
from people sold the ideas of personal aspiration, greed , acquisitiveness, to the exclusion
and vilification of the poor, homeless, disabled , weak, sick and marginalised.
Their new term in office will I am sure be dogged by rejection , when the working poor
and non working poor wonder what the words ‘do the right thing? ‘ really means .

I’m a bit late catching up on this post but well done for speaking up for those who have been easy victims from the welfare cuts. Like you, I am deeply concerned for the effects the future cuts will continue to have on the most vulnerable members of our society.
I know you speak from great integrity, personal experience and have already championed the case for the sick and disabled for a long time and many of the comments only serve to prove how deep the problem and mentality goes.
I was particularly disheartened to read the personal attacks which were totally unjustified and I stand by you and cheer you on!
The development of your ‘Compassionate Britain’ looks really interesting and I will be watching with interest. It looks like I could be rolling up my political sleeves again..!?!

Wanted to share your letter on Facebook bit tragically the comments just confirm what puts most of my non-Christian friends off going near a church. You are one of my Christian heroes though! I started replying to them all, but they got to be just too many, so I ducked out.
It’s rather disheartening to read the comments, but what you’ve said here is important and valuable and necessary. I can only imagine the cost, physically and emotionally, to write it. Hugs to you.
The comments were somewhat overwhelming, but I am persuaded that the majority of Conservative voters don’t hold some of the able-ist and occasionally callous views stated in the comments.
I’m hopeful. Just in my little sphere of the world, attitudes are changing.
