Interview on Premier Christian Radio

Exciting times! Today I was interviewed by Maria Rodrigues from the Woman to Woman program on UK’s Premier Christian Radio on my experience of becoming housebound, my journey with ME, and how I came to write my book, Coming Back to God When You Feel Empty. She is a lovely person, and it was a pleasure being interviewed by her, even though, as you will hear, at one point I did get a little emotional…

If you missed the live show, fear not, you can hear the full interview with me here.

Have to tell you (before the week gets away from me) how much I enjoyed listening to your interview. God’s goodness oozes from your voice and heart. Thank you for not choosing to be voiceless despite the challenges of your life!

Oh, wonderful! Thank you so much for listening to my interview! It’s weird but good to hear that God’s goodness oozes from my voice and heart. I feel kinda shy about that, but I’m learning to take a compliment! 🙂

I found this amazing and its always lovely to hear your voice. My mum has a friend who has ME and we are very close. (I only learnt she has ME today as long as I’ve known her I’ve known she can’t do very much and rests a lot but while listening to your interview today my mum heard the word ME and told me that that’s what our friend has to a much lesser extent but at the same time she doesn’t go out very often).

Oo! Thanks for listening, lovely Lulu. It’s great that you and your Mum can support your friend with ME – it’s a tough illness.

    Tanya,

Thanks SO much for listening, Mark! I really appreciate it. (By the way, I’m really enjoying the typo in your name. I’ve reinvented you as a Russian writer – Mark Almanov. (maybe Marsky Almanov??))

You have made me laugh out loud! I don’t know where that v came from. I’ve never been to Russia. 🙂 Must have picked it up elsewhere! 🙂

Thanks so much for this, Mavis! I loved hearing which bits were your favourites – I think they were mine, too.

    Hello Tanya.

I’m so glad you pointed me to the interview. I really enjoyed listening to you and to your very positive attitude to your illness. You sounded so very alive although I’m pretty sure that by now you will be feeling rather jaded!

You are also extremely complimentary to your husband and that is a lovely thing to hear. So often these days what we hear about other people’s partners is somewhat disparaging.

I’ve subscribed to your blog now for some months and have always been spoken to by what you’ve written. I find that you have a very simple easily understandable style of writing which suits my very simple mind!

I hope you can continue to be as well as you are and improve.

    God bless you all

Thank you for this wonderful comment, Andrew, which I found very encouraging! I pretty much have only good things to say about my husband – he’s an amazing guy. He does have a habit of losing his slippers on a daily basis, but I think that may be his main flaw. 🙂
I’m really grateful to you for taking the time to listen to my interview! Thank you.
